Lauren graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with minors in Psychology and American Studies. She then received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has worked in multiple settings including outpatient mental health and substance use and inpatient mental health and substance use. She enjoys providing individual, family, and group therapy services to adolescents and adults.
At the core of Lauren’s interaction with clients is an authentic, supportive, and trusting working relationship. Lauren uses a variety of techniques influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based perspective, person-centered approach, and Motivational Interviewing to address a variety of presenting problems including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, addiction disorders, life transitions, relationship distress, and parenting.
